Junior Harp Course 2019

Overview - Postponed until 2023

Registration is at 2.00pm on 16th August 2020 with the first event commencing at 3.00pm.

Now in its 18th year, the course is designed for children aged 9-13 to improve their existing harp skills in an environment that is fun, friendly and challenging. The event will combine workshops, ensemble playing, and a celebrity recital, together with leisure activities such as swimming, team games and crafts. Much of the focus will be on working together, providing a foundation for future ensemble and orchestral playing.

Harp tuition will be given by Ruth Faber and is suitable for both lever and pedal harpists. Experienced house parents and a first aid supervisor will be on duty during the day and night; life guards will be present during the swimming sessions.

Monkton Combe School is situated in the heart of the Midford Valley, just 1 mile from the World Heritage City of Bath. The school provides exceptional facilities, including an indoor swimming pool, and a recital hall for the final concert.
