Overview

Registration is at 2.00pm on 18th August with the first event commencing at 3.00pm.

Now in its 9th year, the course is designed for children aged 9-13 years old to improve their existing harp skills in an environment that is fun, friendly and challenging. The event will combine workshops, ensemble playing, and a celebrity recital given by Claire Jones, official harpist to HRH Prince of Wales (sponsored by Salvi Harps), together with leisure activities such as swimming, team games and crafts.

Harp tuition will be given by Ruth Faber and is suitable for both lever and pedal harpists. An experienced house parent and a first aid supervisor will be on duty during the day and night, life guards will be present during the swimming sessions.

Millfield Prep School is situated on the slopes of Glastonbury Tor, near the historic town of Glastonbury and within travelling distance of the ancient Roman city of Bath. The school provides exceptional facilities, including an indoor swimming pool, and recital hall for the final concert.

Student Concert

The course will end with a student concert which starts at 3.00pm to which parents are welcome to attend. The Pilgrim Progress Prize & the Bow Brand Prize will be awarded at the end of the concert.
